"Tridacna Clam"

Robert Yin

Regular price $95.00 Sale

A giant clam lives among the great diversity of marine lives on the Tubbataha Reef, Sulu Sea, Philippines. The purple color on the shell's mantle is the zooxanthellae algae which converts the sunlight into nutrients to feed the clam – in short, it is a solar-powered clam!
Robert Yin has taken underwater photography from a hobby to a life-long professional career with extensive publication in books and magazines. His most recent projects include a series of twenty children's books "Marine Life for Young Readers" published by Dominie Press.
